System Overview

Gas Detection System

A gas detection system continuously monitors the atmosphere for the presence of hazardous gases — including flammable gases (LEL), toxic gases (H₂S, CO, SO₂, NH₃), and oxygen deficiency or enrichment. Fixed detectors connected to a central gas detection controller trigger multi-level alarms and initiate automated safety responses — including ventilation activation, process shutdown, and evacuation — when concentrations exceed safe thresholds.
